chamber code

Walter Kemp 3 conceived Chamber Code, a spontaneous, artistic sonic experience rooted in the layered principles of early code communication of artist and inventor Samuel Morse. This mind-blowing music and art collaboration has audiences enthralled. Vocal dynamo, Thomas Sayers Ellis (The Poetry Foundation), performs spoken word along with code-based improvisational music by Kemp, with Silvia Bolognesi (Italy), and Warren ‘Trae’ Crudup (NYC).  The eclectic unit provides a bold and provocative soundscape embodying today's often conflicting global and domestic climate. Edreys Wajed, known for his music-centered visual art, interprets the ensemble’s “code” music in real time, through live, site-specific light projections.
